Bristol were 1 of the 1st production glassfibre boatbuilders, based in Rhode Island, and their vessels are well regarded as heavily built, solid hulled, bluewater cruising yachts. The 41.1 is a second generation, Ted Hood designed, sloop rigged cruiser that can be easily sailed single handed. The centreboard permits the vessel to sail into shallow anchorages such as the Bahamas, and the mast height of 62' above the water allows her to sail under the fixed bridges on the ICW. This yacht has been cherished by the last 2 owners, has spent the last twenty years cruising the Caribbean with occasional return trips to Florida, and is ready to sail away over the horizon. All in all a vessel in good condition and ready to go anywhere without the need for additional crew. She is fitted with a Westerbeke 52 horsepower auxillary engine and is fully fitted for extended cruising, including a watermaker and wind generator.
